Elm City steamboatThe New Haven Museum is a 149-year old independent, not-for-profit, organization devoted to preserving the history of the New Haven region, emphasizing the growth, change, and increasing diversity of the community. The Museum, which is located in downtown New Haven, also holds events and offers exhibits and programs at its Pardee-Morris House, which is one of the oldest buildings in the area. The Museum’s Whitney Library has a unique and extensive collection that attracts scholars and researchers interested in history and the people and families who have made this area.

The Museum depends on its members and actively seeks grant funding and contributions from organizations, foundations and supporters. We currently offer many opportunities for donation of funds, stocks and bonds, specific bequests as well as contributions in kind. In addition, we offer unique opportunities to fund a gallery or a specific room or collection in the designated name of the donor. The endowment of staff or curatorial positions is a special and important need.

The Museum is proud of the support of its audience and its contributors. We welcome the opportunity to discuss these matters with you or your representative.

Thank you.
